The Hebrew Electronic Ironic project ‘Megaphonim’ is truly one of a kind. Back in the 90’s the duo was a well known act from Tel-Aviv. After jailed for 18 months for unclear reasons, they started writing words, telling their quirky story, creating music accompanied with despair, hope and bits of humour.
They became the hottest thing in the local fringe scene and their songs have become anthems for a large and diverse audience around the globe and beyond. They tend to combine intense electronic music with catchy and humorous texts.
In 2022 this super group brought their off-kilter energy with their "Namal Ashdod“ EP. What unites this intriguing project is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music.
Their unique raw break-beats and unforeseeable left-turns, are always playful with an off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. This duo is guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be.
